Neusoft Shares Insights on China's "Scenario-Defined" Approach to Rapid AI Implementation in Mobility at ELIV 2026
The International VDI Congress – ELIV 2026 took place this week in Baden-Baden, Germany, bringing together experts from the automotive and technology sectors. Dr. Angela Wang, Senior Vice President of Neusoft Corporation, Chairwoman and President of Neusoft Europe, and Chairwoman of Neusoft America, delivered a keynote address titled “The Great Leap Forward: Inspirations from China’s ‘Scenario-Defined’ Path to Rapid AI Implementation in Mobility.” In her presentation, she explored how a scenario-driven approach to AI can transform consumer experiences, unlock new competitive advantages, and accelerate innovation in the mobility industry. She also highlighted AI’s potential to serve as the “central nervous system” of automotive software development, enabling greater efficiency and deeper innovation tailored to real-world scenarios.

ELIV is the international congress for automotive electronics, software, and applications. The 2026 congress was enhanced by several new features, making ELIV 2026 one of the strongest editions in the event’s history, with major focuses on AI, Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV), automated driving, and cockpit/customer experience.

Dr. Angela Wang stated in her keynote that AI implementation in the China automotive market is rapidly moving into large-scale deployment and reshaping the competitive landscape. OEMs are working closely with tech and software companies to redefine consumer experience, while AI-powered features have become standard or key differentiators in many new models. Competition has shifted from technical specifications toward deeper innovation in real-life scenarios. This marks a transition from the traditional approach of “finding a scenario for a technology” to a “scenario-defines-technology” model, shortening the journey from the lab to the market and accelerating the commercialization of AI.

Dr. Wang also explained the distinctive advantages of China’s AI implementation in mobility. China’s complex and diverse traffic scenarios provide abundant, high-quality data for AI algorithm training and improvement. Meanwhile, Chinese consumers, particularly the digital-native generation, are highly receptive to new technologies and willing to pay for intelligent experiences. Together, these factors help close the commercial loop faster and turn vehicles into mobile intelligent spaces.

Taking a navigation scenario from Neusoft OneCoreGo 7.0 Mobility Solution as an example, Dr. Wang showed in her speech how AI can communicate and interact like a human and dramatically transform the user experience. Turning to the broader cockpit experience, she shared another case study of Neusoft NAGIC.AI solution, showing how AI can help transform the experience through a flexible software architecture, centralized or distributed, to meet the respective needs of new and legacy vehicles.

However, user-facing AI is just half the story. When intelligent vehicles are faced with hundreds of different user scenarios and the need for rapid iteration, how can software development teams handle the explosive growth of scenarios? Dr. Wang explained in her speech that AI is not only being used to serve consumers, but also redefining how software is developed, which moves us from a “human-defined” to an “AI-generated” approach to cover a booming number of scenarios, and from “real-vehicle testing” toward “digital twin” simulation to accelerate iteration.

In addition, drawing on Neusoft’s own practices, Dr. Wang shared how AI can be used to build software for back-end efficiency, noting that AI has already delivered significant efficiency gains across various stages of the software production lifecycle. Taking Neusoft One Furnace Enterprise-Grade AI Testing Solution as a specific example, she explained how AI has dramatically reshaped quality, cost, and delivery after bringing in AI digital employees.

At the end of the speech, Dr. Wang said she believed that the China market could offer valuable experience in AI implementation to the global automotive industry. Beyond helping global OEMs better explore and compete in the China market, closer collaboration across regional markets can accelerate the large-scale deployment of AI in mobility and deliver amazing experiences to consumers worldwide. Looking into the future of AI-driven mobility, the most successful companies will be those that can orchestrate capabilities from wherever they emerge, building on the strengths of diverse ecosystems around the world.
