MCS, Inc., a leading supplier of industrial production mail solutions, announced that ICS Corporation has successfully installed its fifth BlueCrest Epic high-speed inserting system, equipped with the MCS Harrier Process color inkjet system featuring HP’s 108 inkjet technology. The new system also includes an integrated inline card-attaching solution, strengthening ICS Corporation’s existing production capabilities. With this latest investment, ICS now operates a total fleet of 42 high-speed, high-integrity inserting systems from MCS and BlueCrest.

As direct mail and transactional letter formats evolve to require higher security, speed, and versatility, ICS has continued to scale its facility by partnering with MCS. The newly commissioned MCS/BlueCrest Epic platform delivers rated cycle speeds of up to 24,000 cycles per hour. Featuring an automated setup, advanced servo-controlled friction feeders, and full electronic double-detection, the machine allows ICS to process high-volume direct mail campaigns with minimal downtime.

The key feature of this fifth Epic system is its automated online card-attaching module. The system handles the matching, verification, and gluing of standard and custom card formats directly to carriers at maximum machine speeds. By eliminating separate, offline matching processes, the system helps ensure complete data integrity while streamlining production.

In addition to inline card attaching, this latest Epic investment incorporates the new MCS Harrier HP inkjet system on the output. This latest innovation from MCS delivers class-leading, 1200 dpi, full-variable four-color imaging directly onto the envelope package, enabling direct mailers to add personalized color graphics, messaging, and other variable content to every piece of mail processed on the inserter.

“Our relationship with ICS spans many years, and we are proud to support their ambitious growth trajectory. By integrating a second Epic inserter with automated card attaching into their line, ICS is reinforcing its footprint as a high-integrity print and mail manufacturer. This expansion ensures they can comfortably meet rigid SLAs while delivering unmatched tracking and accuracy for high-security applications.“

With 42 high-speed inserters now in production, ICS continues to optimize its shop floor efficiency, reduce manual handling costs, and provide a single-source solution for complex, data-driven marketing mail and transactional statements.
