Mordor Intelligence has unveiled Robotics Intelligence, a subscription-driven platform designed to detect upcoming robotics and automation opportunities 12 to 24 months before they enter the tendering stage. The platform evaluates newly announced construction and expansion projects to determine their potential for robotics adoption while project requirements are still being defined. This enables system integrators, robot manufacturers, component vendors, and investment firms to connect with decision-makers early in the planning process, when purchasing and automation strategies are being established.
The insight behind the product is straightforward. For a new plant or warehouse, automation requirements are set during construction, well before a request for proposal is issued. By the time a tender is public, the shortlist is largely decided. Robotics Intelligence surfaces which facilities are at that early stage now, and connects each one to the operator, the robot types the work is likely to require, and the integrators and suppliers positioned around it.
The platform works in four steps. It captures construction, permit, expansion, tender, award and deployment activity worldwide from public sources, keeping each record with its origin and date. It maps every signal to a facility, an operator, the relevant robot types and the surrounding integrator and supplier ecosystem. It scores each facility for robotics likelihood and places it within a procurement window. The result is a ranked, sourced list of accounts and partners to approach first.
Robotics Intelligence is built for several audiences. System integrators use it to build an early pipeline of facilities that will invest in automation over the next 12 to 24 months. Component suppliers and robot manufacturers use it to get designed into a specification ahead of the request for quotation. Strategy, market intelligence and investment teams use it to read demand from public filings a year or more before it appears in broader market data.
At launch, and as of September 2026, the platform tracks 494 construction and expansion signals across 50 countries, with 443 signals in the top two robotics-likelihood bands and 120 facilities in the 12 to 24 month procurement window. It records 333 projects with no automation vendor named publicly and 1,459 verified deployments. Every record links back to the permit, filing or announcement it came from and is updated continuously as projects progress.
“For most of its history, market intelligence has explained what has already happened. The opportunity now is to help organizations see what is forming while there is still time to act on it. Robotics Intelligence is a clear example of that shift. It brings the same rigor our clients expect from our research to the earliest signals of automation demand, so they can move with confidence. Our ambition is to keep building intelligence, across every format we offer, that turns foresight into a genuine commercial advantage for the organizations we serve.”
–Bharadwaj Obula Reddy, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Mordor Intelligence
“We built Robotics Intelligence to work at the level of a single facility and its timing. Which site, which robot types, which integrator, and when it is likely to buy. Because every record carries its source and date, teams can trace a construction permit through to the tender, the award and the deployment that follow, and act on evidence rather than assumption. It complements the market view our clients already rely on by adding the early demand signals that sit ahead of it.”
