Scott Technology Addresses Factory Space Constraints with a Compact, High-Capacity Palletizer

Scott Technology, a global automation and robotics company, has launched the NexPAL 200HL, a compact, high-capacity palletiser developed to help manufacturers increase production capacity where floor space is limited. Developed in response to customers, particularly across Europe and North America, seeking to add throughput capacity within existing production environments, the NexPAL 200HL delivers 35+ cases per minute across a broad range of product formats and sizes, while occupying a footprint 25% smaller than most comparable palletising solutions.

The NexPAL 200HL is now commercially available across Scott’s global markets, with its first order already secured. Four systems will be deployed for a major poultry processor in Georgia, United States, as part of the Materials Handling contract announced by Scott in June.

“In many established manufacturing facilities, floor space is at a premium, and throughput is fundamental to the economics of the operation. If end-of-line palletising can’t keep pace with increased production upstream, it can become a bottleneck on the entire operation, hindering growth. Our customers are looking for ways to increase capacity with limited impact on their physical footprint. With the NexPAL 200HL, we focused on putting substantial palletising capacity into a much smaller space without compromising performance,” said Aaron Vanwalleghem, President of Materials Handling & Logistics at Scott Technology.

Under Scott’s Destination 2030 growth strategy, the company is increasingly directing its R&D investment into a disciplined pipeline of technologies aligned with customer needs, market insights and industry bellwethers. The NexPAL 200HL is an example of that approach in practice. Its compact architecture uses a side-mounted rotating row pusher, allowing case infeed and row formation to occur simultaneously while eliminating traditional overhead pusher components. The design maintains easy access for cleaning and maintenance, while automatic changeovers and flexible pattern execution support a broad range of products and pallet configurations. Application-specific options include label orientation, interlayer sheet handling, and pallet dispensing.

The NexPAL 200HL expands Scott’s integrated Materials Handling & Logistics automation portfolio, which spans palletising, product and pallet conveying, NexBOT automated guided vehicles and the MAESTRO+ control platform, enabling coordinated system execution. Together, these systems enable coordinated execution, plant-level connectivity, real-time visibility, traceability and decision support.

To mark the launch, Scott has also developed a full-scale augmented reality experience for the NexPAL 200HL, allowing customers and investors to place a digital representation of the palletiser in their physical environment using a smartphone.

By scanning a QR code, users can position the 200HL at full scale, walk around the machine, and assess its compact footprint without an app or specialist equipment.
